Samantha Spano — New Jersey’s “Coastal Cowgirl” — Shines for the Third Year at Barefoot Country Music Festival

WILDWOOD, NJ — For the third consecutive year, New Jersey’s own Coastal Cowgirl, Samantha Spano, brought her signature country flair to the shores of Wildwood at the Barefoot Country Music Festival. Backed by her band of Urban Cowboys, Spano opened the Patrón Stage on Friday, June 20, energizing a crowd of buzzing festival-goers ready to kick off a weekend of country music celebrations.

Her 30-minute set featured her crowd-favorite honky-tonk single “GUNSLINGER!” and an emotional preview of her upcoming release, “Whiskey Don’t Work.” As fans streamed into the festival grounds, many paused to cheer on their hometown star—now performing on a major stage after first debuting on the festival’s Discover Stage at just 20 years old in 2023.

Spano closed her high-energy set with a fan-favorite mashup of Jo Dee Messina’s classic “Heads Carolina, Tails California” and her unreleased anthem “Coastal Cowgirl.” Following her performance, she spent an hour meeting fans at the Patrón Activation space, where she greeted every attendee with warmth—signing autographs, posing for photos, and sharing stories with longtime supporters.

Her continued rise through the Barefoot Country Music Festival lineup reflects not only her deep local roots but also her growing presence in the modern country music scene.
